Lucky Me!

I won another giveaway!  This time from Andrea at Invisible Flower.  She's been doing a giveaway every day for the last couple weeks.  She had managed to acquire the mother lode of vintage patterns, and VERY generously posted three a day to give away.  I won lot #7:  '60s Shifts - how perfect!  And same vintage as me!

I'm very excited about this for two reasons:  one, I rarely ever win anything, so I seem to be on a roll!  And secondly, these are the very first vintage patterns I've ever owned (if you don't count a couple I have left over from the early '90s, which I don't).  I haven't had a chance to go through them yet to see if they're complete, but I'm really looking forward to taking a peek at the instructions and the shapes of the pieces.

Here's a closer look:

1965-ish
I really love the shape of these.
If the pieces are all there, I'm thinking of
making the two-piece dress.

1969
OK - I'll admit, not my favorite.

1962
Gorgeous!
If I had anywhere to go, I would make this!
(If the pieces are all there.)
And I have some red pointy kitten heels just like those!

A few of the giveaways are still open, so hop over to Invisible Flower and check it out!

  1. Woop woop, Gail! Oooh, seeing those patterns reminds me of how much my mother used to sew and all her Butterick patterns. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if she had a few of the ones you won as that was absolutely her style back then.
