Miette 15: The Buttons!

Mostly pictures this time!  Just to show you how to get the buttons placed correctly. You may want to click to enlarge some of the pictures so you can read the captions better.

And you're finished!  Wear your new sweater proudly!

  2. I can't wait to get back to knitting. Maybe by the time you get back from your trip I'll be done! I just have to get through this week and the children's program that I'm doing at the church. Thank you for all of the wonderful instructions and encouragement!

    2. I almost forgot about the stitch count on the back section! My back section ended up with 70 stitches instead of 71. What do you recommend I do about that. I am not at the bottom of the body yet but I think you mentioned that we would take care of it there. I thought I would get instructions before you head off on your adventure. Thanks

    3. In your very last row before you start the lace pattern at the bottom, increase 1 stitch at the center back. I'd probably use a m1, but you can use whatever increase you like :-)

  3. Do you do this after blocking? I've never blocked a garment before, so might need some tips on that too! You have created so many great tutorials. I'm sure I'll be re-reading them all in the future! :)

    1. Thanks, Jo! Yes, the buttons are the very last thing you do, after blocking. And you just made me realize I didn't cover blocking! I steam blocked this one like I usually do, but each person will have to decide how to block their own garment. There should be plenty of tutorials on it online!
