Ahh lovely - such a different look to your previous one. I bet this was fast to sew up after such a rigorous fitting process prior to this. And it seems you are talked out!!!
i've been eyeing those stretch denims from joanns but haven't bought any, afraid they won't hold up well... i'd love to hear your thoughts on them! great skirt, makes me wish for spring!!
Well, I might not be the best person to ask about wear, as I probably won't be wearing either of these very frequently, and I tend to be pretty gentle on clothes. But I was pleased with the quality, and they both had a high cotton content. I'd buy them again.
ooh and the fabric I have to construct a pencil skirt from is *also* a stretch denim from JoAnn's! I think I might escape work early today since it's "snowing horizontally" (my own phrase). I need a little sewing time :)
Love the print on this. I wish there was a JoAnn's near me but the closest is 1.5 hours one way. :( The skirt looks great and it is so nice that you have the fit worked out
Whoa, that's far! I've only recently started buying fabric there - I've heard they're carrying more natural fiber fabrics these days, which is great. I used to drive 20 miles to one, but they just opened in my neighborhood in November. I'm so glad they did!
I think so too - going to have to take a good look through my closet and make up some outfits. Sadly, the sweater I first picked that goes great color-wise doesn't fit me any more :-(
Wow! I would never have thought that JoAnn's would have such a great fabric. I can't even find the right notions when I duck in there (they're always out of whatever item I need). -- stashdragon
Seems like there are "good" JoAnns and "bad" JoAnns. I'm lucky that the new one by my house keeps their stock very nicely updated so far. Hope it continues that way, because the second nearest one is always a shambles.
Lovely fabric. It looks like a Monet waterlily painting.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I thought! I sort of wish I'd bought enough to make a dress :-)

ReplyDeleteIt was - took me a total of 3 hours, which includes hemming by hand. That's a very quick make for me, as I'm slow :-)

DeleteVery pretty. The watercolor print is like a Monet!
ReplyDeleteI think so too! So many possibilities of things to go with it :-)

Yes, you'd better get home early ;-)
DeleteThis is a fantastic print! Another beautiful skirt!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michelle!
DeleteGorgeous colors! I love the mix of sweet (pink) and sour (olive green/mustard). Picture of you in it, please?
ReplyDeleteAnd the teal! I've got some teal suede boots I'm hoping will go well with this :-) As soon as I wear it, I will try to get a pic.
DeleteVery pretty...agree, need a photo of it modelled please!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sabs!

DeleteGorgeous! Wear it Monday?
ReplyDeleteOoooh, good idea. Fingers crossed it won't be too cold!
DeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely fabric! I'm such a fan of florals and prints. Would love to see some more photos ;-)
ReplyDeleteMe too - I think florals are my first love. I have a hard time getting myself to make anything in a solid color!
DeleteI looooooove this skirt and the fabric!!!! Bonus that it's denim (no wrinkles) :)
ReplyDeleteYou are a funny gal!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful fabric. I would totally buy if I wasn't on a diet.
ReplyDeleteI am very glad I picked it up before my diet started!
DeleteLove this print!!!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great? They still have it ;-)
DeleteWell, we are going to be twins!! I want some of that fabric. So cute as a skirt.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! You should get some! I'd love to see what you do with it!
DeleteI love this skirt too - you're on a roll! I really like the combination of colors. You'll be able to pair this with so many things!

DeleteBWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Hilarious post and beautiful skirt!
ReplyDeleteYou see - I CAN be concise. Not often, but not impossible!
Delete"I have nothing more to say", LOL!! Well, nuff said! I am crushing on your beautiful fabric and your lovely chic skirt.
ReplyDeleteHehehe - don't you think I expounded enough over the previous three days?! Thank you!
