Who:What:Wear 1

I've had it in my mind for a while to start posting pix of the times I actually wear the things I've made.  The problem is not in the wearing - that happens quite a bit!  The problem is in the snapping!  I decided to give it a try with some good old-fashioned mirror shots, as being the easiest way to go, and thus maybe the most successful.  We shall see . . .

So here's what I wore the other day:  my pink coral Ginger skirt along with a cotton gauze blouse I bought at Anthropologie maybe ten years ago.  After I finished the skirt back in April, I tried it on with several of my blouses, and this is the combination Hubby liked best.  My favorite combo involved a long-sleeved blouse in a heavier weight fabric, so it's going to be a while before that one gets worn!

BTW - these black Birkenstocks are my "indoor shoes" so although you'll probably see them a lot, they never make it out of the house!

  1. That pink coral color is one of my all time favorite colors! I love it! The skirt looks wonderful and I like what you decided to pair it up with. Have you noticed that it is fairly difficult to find yarn in that coral color? Perhaps I'm not looking in the right places, but I feel that it doesn't get as much love as it should as a color.

    1. No, I think you're right. I haven't seen this shade in yarn in years. I did make a sweater in a very similar color of Cascade Sierra, but that was probably 6 or 7 years ago.

  2. I love the coral color, too, but it's a color that I never think to wear. This is just the kind of skirt I hope to make myself ... soon.

  3. Simple ginger is so pretty! I have plans to make myself an A-line from a similar-ish pattern. New Look 6106 :)
It's nice to see your bold colour choice for the skirt. I'm a bit boring about it, I have 3 grey skirts planned... lol.

    1. Good to know, since I never look at fashion magazines or anything like that any more! I just pick out the fabrics and colors I like, hoping I don't end up looking like a buffoon!

    1. I prefer them too, but I get so engrossed in the action, I forget to take photos!
