Whew!

That was a long haul!  Really happy with the result though:

It's still too hot to put it on, but I have faith that the weather will cool down!  . . . Eventually.

It's cuddly and cozy, and I can wrap it around me and belt it closed.  I love that.

The only thing I did differently from the pattern was to add a belt carrier at each side:

I don't like having to keep track of my belt!

  3. Beautiful! Can you believe the inhospitable-to-sweaters weather we're having??

    1. I know, darn it! Normally I'd be ecstatic, but what with a new sweater and no AC, it's kind of getting me down!

    1. Thanks, Carmela! I have to agree - I griped a lot while making it, but now I'm happy I persevered!

  5. If I had your mad knitting (and seaming) skills, I would ONLY knit cardigans!!!!!

    1. Hehehe - I do love a good cardi. I actually find it easier to knit in pieces and sew together most of the time - the all-in-one sweaters can get so unwieldy!

  6. Oh wow, this looks GREAT! Totally worth all that seaming! The belt carrier was a great idea-- it's so annoying when you lose a belt or have to keep fiddling with it!

    1. Thanks, Ginger! I add belt carriers to all my belted cardis, because they never stay tied and I hate having to keep pulling up the belt!

  8. The cardigan is beautiful! I know how you feel about the weather. It finally cooled down where I live so I can get back to knitting!
