Not much of anything, really

Hubby informed me this morning that today is International Women's Day.  I had planned on doing some housework, but decided that doing so would only further traditional and outmoded gender roles.  So I haven't done much of anything, really. Worked out.  Ate lunch.  Loaded the dishwasher.  Made an Excel spreadsheet of nail polish colors (yes, really).  And now I plan on working on this:

Memphis, Tennessee

This is Vintage, by Kim Hargreaves, knit in Rowan Denim.  I'd been wanting to knit this for a few years, and finally accumulated all the materials a couple weeks ago. My BFF is nuts about Denim, but I only first used it about a year ago.  It takes some getting used to.  Being 100% cotton, there is absolutely no give, so it can be a little hard on the hands.  But the beauty part is, it shrinks in length just like denim fabric. The knitted pieces look weirdly disproportionate, but after a trip through the washer and dryer, they shrink back to something that looks "right" and the fabric becomes much more dense (hiding all those tension issues that appeared to be so blatant before washing).

Now I just have to decide which Netflix to watch while I knit.
