My childhood.

This is how I remember people dressing.  It seems to me that my mom made my dad a couple of leisure suits (polyester, natch) very similar to the top pattern, only more masculine.  You guys remember the leisure suit, right?  And the big side burns that went with it?  And cigarette vending machines.  Ah, the '70s . . .

  1. We used to call the men's leisure suit a "safari suit" :) When I was 16, I had a a suit like the top one, short sleeved and with a matching midi A-line skirt. Those were the days!

    1. "Safari Suit!" Reminds me of when Banana Republic sold safari looking clothes, back in the day!

      Honestly, if I were about 20 years younger, I wouldn't hesitate to wear any of these outfits!

  2. I'm too whippersnappery to remember leisure suits, but I DO remember running around restaurants and pulling every single knob on the cigarette machine in the lobby.
