Colette Patterns Sorbetto |
This one was quite a bit trickier than the polka-dot one. I made it in the same way, but this fabric is voile - significantly thinner and more slippery than the lawn I used before. This one required a break for pie as well.
I decided to stitch all the edges in contrasting thread:
But all the seams (French again) were done with a blue similar to the background of the fabric.
I love this whimsical print! I may end up stashing more of it!
How perfect for summery events involving a beach or a pool. You really are on a roll with these sorbettos!
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of embarrassing, really. But not enough to make me stop!
ReplyDeleteHoly moly, you are really enjoying this pattern!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on the Jan... Can you advise, as I'm short waisted (I tend to take an inch out of every pattern, if not more): Do you think that I can begin the arm holes at 29.5 (vs. the instruction's suggested 30.5)? The piece is looking quite blousey - not small-seeming. And I'm sure it will stretch somewhat when blocked. I'm glad I didn't start the medium, though I would add more stitches to the ribbing if I could go back and try again.
Anyway, thanks for any feedback about length.
