It's Complicated

This is one of the most labor-intensive manis I've ever done.  But I think the result is worth the work!

I started out with two coats of China Glaze Cheers to You, from the holiday 2010 collection:  the shimmery, silvery counterpart to Midnight Kiss.  Once that was dry, I sponged the tips with Zoya Danii, then applied China Glaze Fast Forward topcoat.  Finally, after waiting about ten minutes, I stamped on the "shattered glass" design from Bundle Monster plate BM208 with Wet N' Wild Black Creme.  One more coat of Fast Forward, and then all I had to do was sit back and admire my nails for a while!

  1. Whew, I wonder how much time total it took. They are beautiful though! I'm always a fan of metallics

    1. Not too bad - about 45 minutes total, and that includes removing the previous (glitter) mani and dry times.

    1. Thanks, Pam! I'm proud because this is the most successful I've ever been with sponging.

I like the Konad Special White for stamping - nothing else I've tried is opaque enough. I'm thinking about getting the black too. This black is OK, but still not truly opaque

  4. I can barely manage to slap a coat of two of regular polish on my nails. This look is stunning and I admire your patience and fine-motor coordination skills. I'm nominating you for a couple of blog awards. Details are on my most recent post http://susiehomemakerdeservesacocktail.blogspot.com/2012/12/blogging-awards.html

    1. Thanks, Cari! I have to admit, if I had a "real job" and kids to boot, my nails would probably be naked stubs!

  6. It's so cool how you know how to fix up your nails so fancily! The money you save plus pampering yourself along with getting crafty? Priceless!
I want to buy one of those Klutz nail art kits and practice on my girls.

    1. Hehehe - with the amount of polish and accoutrements I buy, I doubt I save any money, LOL!

You should do this with the girls - you'd all have a blast!
