Here's the Traveler Shirtdress, at long last. The day after I finished it, the weather here returned to what is normal for this time of year: i.e. too cold to wear this dress outside yet! I'm kind of bummed, because this dress is Cake*. Like I said before, I'll definitely be making more of these. But not striped!
*Isn't Tasia the cutest?

What fabric should I use for the next one? |
Back view is pretty good! And by that I mean slimming! |
Sans scarf, so you can see the neckline. |
Are any of you planning on making this dress? I really recommend it. My notes about my experience with it are here.
One more Grey Wall to go! And it's a good 'un . . . it has vintage jewelry!
I love it paired with the red sandals. I can see you venturing on a picnic with this outfit.
ReplyDeleteI *need* to make this dress.
Yes - everything's always better when there's food involved, IMO!
DeletePerfect spring/summer dress!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Evelyn!
DeleteWhat a lovely "cake" piece. And yes, Tasia is adorable, haha. I love her blog.
ReplyDeleteThis looks super nice :) And it must be satisfying to make something so practical yet pretty!
Yes, I think this one will actually get worn a fair bit!
DeleteI love this dress on you. And your sunglasses and scarf combo is so chic!
ReplyDeleteI think this would be cute on you too. I'm thinking of doing the next one in army green, and making some shoulder tabs and sleeve rolling-up tabs. Safari look, which I could totally see on you too!
DeleteJust knew it! You'll be wearing this often in the month to come. So many ways to accessorize.
ReplyDeleteCongrats !
hugs
Thanks, Gerry! It's supposed to warm up enough next week that I can wear it - fingers crossed!
DeleteMy dear, you are a lot of things, but lazy is *not* one of them! All of the grey wall FOs are great, but this is my favorite in this lot.
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm actually surprised it's not the knitting!
Deletecute shirtdress! i cut this very pattern out last night, though i plan to just make a top out of it for now. the scarf is lovely also, i just made a dress out of the exact same material!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your dress!! I'm interested to see how a shirt version of this dress looks too!
